Terms & Conditions.

Last updated: 22 April 2026. The commercial terms of working together, without the fog.

1. The service

Opt.team delivers a monthly SEO and GEO retainer under The Boost Framework: structural upgrades, schema engineering, internal-link and cannibalization work, new gap-driven content, and honest reporting. The specific volume scales with the plan (Starter, Growth, Enterprise).

2. Working cadence

On the first of each month a senior strategist sends a monthly plan by email. You sign off by reply. The strategist ships the agreed items through the month and sends a recap at month end. Mid-month check-in on the 15th. No dashboards to chase.

3. Approvals

Everything ships only after you approve it. "Approve" in a reply counts as sign-off. If you need to change course mid-month, reply and we'll reweight the remaining work around your priority.

4. Access you give us

Delivery requires at minimum an editor-role login to your CMS (WordPress user, Shopify access token, or equivalent) and read access to your Google Search Console property. Credentials are scoped to the minimum needed, stored encrypted, and revokable by you at any time. See the Privacy Policy for handling.

5. Ownership

All content, widgets, schema, and on-site changes we ship belong to you from the moment they ship. We keep the right to reference aggregate or anonymized results (e.g. "a SaaS library gained +147% organic lift") unless you ask us not to.

6. Billing

Invoices issue monthly in advance. Payment is due within 14 days. Late payments past 30 days pause new work until the balance is cleared; existing live work remains live.

7. Cancellation

Month-to-month. Either side can cancel with 14 days' notice before the next billing cycle. We don't hold cancellation hostage. Work in flight that month is completed and delivered; nothing gets clawed back.

8. Refunds

If in the first 30 days you decide the engagement isn't a fit, email us and we refund the remaining unused portion of that month. After the first month, billing is pro-rated by calendar days on cancellation.

9. What we don't do

We don't run PPC, email marketing, press-release spam, automated link building, or black-hat tactics. We won't break Google's guidelines on your behalf. If you ask us to, we'll decline and keep the retainer to SEO and GEO work that compounds.

10. Warranties

We promise senior-level work and honest reporting. We can't guarantee specific ranking positions, traffic volumes, or AI citation counts, because Google, Perplexity, and the other engines don't guarantee them to us. Our case studies are real but past performance isn't future performance.

11. Liability

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the engagement is capped at three months' fees paid. We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

12. Confidentiality

Anything you share that isn't already public is confidential. We keep it that way during and after the engagement. Likewise our working methods and any deliverables we explicitly mark as proprietary.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Opt.team is incorporated. Disputes go to the courts of that jurisdiction unless both parties agree to mediation first.

14. Changes

If these terms change materially, active clients get an email before the change applies. The "last updated" date above always reflects the live version.
